Alderbay Retreat is a small resort set in gardens above a sheltered bay, made for unhurried stays rather than packed itineraries.
Couples come for the sea-view rooms and long breakfasts. Families take the courtyard suites and the villa. Some guests simply want a week with a good book and the pool. The team’s job is to understand which stay you are planning and to help it go smoothly, from your first enquiry to the morning you leave.

The Courtyard Suite sleeps up to four with a sofa bed in a separate sitting room, and the Pool Villa sleeps up to five across two bedrooms. The Bay View Room takes an extra bed for one child. Share the ages of any children and the team will suggest the best fit.
What is included in a stay?
Use of the garden pool, bay deck and fitness and yoga studio is included. Dining, spa treatments, transfers and guided experiences are charged separately. What each rate includes, such as breakfast, is stated in writing when the team replies.
